Pitlane · Apple platforms

Nothing
leaves.

Pitlane collects no personal data, transmits nothing, and asks for no permissions. It contains no networking code at all, so there is no channel over which your figures could go anywhere.

Scope

What this policy covers

This policy applies to Pitlane, the motorcycle oil-change interval planner for Apple platforms, bundle identifier com.vortex.bikeoilchange, published by DALESWAY CONTRACT PACKERS LTD. It describes the released app and nothing else.

Collection

No personal data is collected

The app collects no personal data whatsoever. It has no account, no sign-in, no user profile, no in-app purchase, no advertising, no analytics service, no attribution service, no crash-reporting service and no server component of any kind. It does not ask for, receive or derive:

  • your name, email address, phone number or postal address;
  • location of any precision, including coarse or country-level location;
  • contacts, calendars, photos, camera, microphone, motion or health data;
  • the advertising identifier, the vendor identifier, or any other device or user identifier;
  • purchase history, search history, browsing history or usage data;
  • diagnostics, performance data or crash logs.

This is what the App Store privacy answers for the app record as Data Not Collected.

Why

There is no channel to send anything over

The claim above is structural rather than a promise about how we behave. The app contains no networking code: no HTTP client, no socket, no web view, no analytics or advertising SDK, no crash reporter and no cloud service library. Its only dependencies are libraries that draw the interface on screen. There is therefore no request the app could make and no endpoint it could make one to, on any network, at any time.

It also declares no system permissions, so the operating system never shows you a permission prompt on its behalf.

Processing

Your figures stay on the device, and are not kept

The figures you set — the current odometer, the reading at your last oil change, the service interval and the oil grade — are held in memory while the app is on screen and are used only to calculate what is displayed. They are never uploaded and never written to a server.

This release also does not store them on the device. There is no database, no file and no keychain entry, so closing the app discards the working values, and it reopens on the example plan it ships with. If that changes in a future release, this page will say so before that release is available.

Tracking

You are not tracked, across apps or anywhere else

The app performs no tracking as the App Store defines it. It does not access the advertising identifier, does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, does not build a profile of you, does not share anything with a data broker or advertising network, and passes no information to any third party — because it transmits nothing to begin with.

Platform

The store is Apple's, the app is not part of it

Apple may process download, purchase, diagnostic or device information independently, under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. That platform processing is not data collected by this app, and nothing you enter in the app reaches us through it.

Children

The same rule applies to everyone

The app is a general-purpose vehicle maintenance utility and is not directed to children. Because it collects no personal data from any user, it collects no personal data from children, and there is nothing to seek parental consent for.

Your rights

There is nothing to request

Rights of access, correction, portability and erasure apply to personal data held about you. We hold none from this app, so there is no record to produce, correct, export or delete. Removing the app from your device removes the working values with it.

Changes

Policy changes come before product changes

If a future release changes how data is handled, this page and the App Store privacy answers will both be updated before that release becomes available. The date at the top of this page marks the current version.
