Read the plan
The plan screen works out the odometer reading your next change falls due at, then shows the distance left and the days left. The gauge fills to whichever of the two is further along — the distance you have covered, or the six-month window.
Close it out
After an oil change, MARK OIL CHANGED moves the last-change reading up to your current odometer and starts a fresh interval. EDIT SERVICE PLAN reopens setup with your current values in place.

Useful before you write
Does Pitlane send notifications?
No. Pitlane sends no notifications, alerts or badges of any kind, and it asks for no notification permission, because the app contains no notification code. Nothing will arrive on your phone from it. Open the app when you want to look at the plan.
Do my figures stay there when I close the app?
No, and this is the most common surprise. This release holds your figures in memory only while the app is on screen. There is no storage layer in it, so closing or force-quitting the app discards them and it reopens on the example plan it ships with.
The SAVE SERVICE PLAN button on the setup screen moves you to the plan screen. It does not write anything to disk, to an account or to a server.
Why can I not type my mileage in?
There is no text field anywhere in the app. Every figure is set with plus and minus controls. The current odometer and the last-change reading move in steps of 100 km, and the service interval moves in steps of 500 km.
The ranges are fixed: the odometer runs from 0 to 999,900 km, the last-change reading can never be set above your current odometer, and the service interval runs from 1,000 km to 15,000 km.
Which units does it use?
Kilometres, everywhere, with no unit setting and no conversion. There is no miles mode in this release.
How does the time side of the plan work?
Alongside your distance interval the app applies a fixed six-month window, counted as a flat 180 days. That window is not adjustable — the distance interval is the only interval you set.
The app does not read your device clock and does not count days while it is closed. The days figure belongs to the plan you are looking at, and it resets when you tap MARK OIL CHANGED.
Which oil grades can I pick?
Three: 10W-40, 10W-50 and 15W-50. Your choice is carried through to the plan screen so you can see it next to the service figures. It is a label only — the grade is not used in the arithmetic and does not change your interval.
Can I add a second motorcycle, or a service history?
No. This release plans one motorcycle and one job: the oil-change interval. There is no second bike, no maintenance log and no list of past changes. MARK OIL CHANGED updates the single last-change reading.
Does it need a connection, an account or a subscription?
None of the three. Every figure on screen is arithmetic done on your iPhone. There is no sign-up, no sign-in, no in-app purchase and no subscription, and the app works with no signal at all.
Is it usable with VoiceOver?
Partly. The primary buttons and the back control carry a button role and a spoken label, and the plus and minus controls are labelled Increase and Decrease followed by the name of the figure they change. Text does not yet resize with your system text size, and one control on the dashboard is not exposed as a button. Accessibility feedback is welcome — tell us where it gets in your way.
What should I put in a support email?
Say what you expected and what happened instead. A screenshot helps, as do your iPhone model and system version. Please do not send private or financial information.

Not a substitute for your manual
Pitlane holds no manufacturer data and no service schedule for any motorcycle. It does arithmetic on the numbers you enter, nothing more. The correct oil specification and the correct service interval for your machine come from its handbook and from a qualified mechanic — set the interval the manufacturer gives you, and treat what the app shows as a planning aid rather than an instruction.
